Former Togolese captain, Salou Tadjou, was pronounced dead on Monday. He has been sick for a few weeks and this is what is though to be the cause of his death.
Salou Tadjou was born on the 24th of December, 1974. He played in the Togolese League for Modèle, Agaza, Etoile Filante de Lome before moving to Tunisian football club Tunis, where he played for four years. He then moved to Europe to play for Switzerland and joined Servette FC.
He was Togo's captain during the 2002 World Cup Qualifiers where Togo failed to reach Korea/Japan.
